Minisart® NML with surfactant-free cellulose acetate (SFCA) is the best choice for all aqueous solutions and oils with a pH of 4 - 8. Type 17593 with a pore size of 1.2 µm can be used for particle, yeast cell and platelets removal and has a male luer lock outlet. Version Q is a non-sterile bulk pack. Units can be sterilized by gamma irradiation or EO. Non-sterile Minisart® NML syringe filters are supplied in bulk packs. This reduces waste and makes the handling easier whenever the application allows the removal of particles or cells under non-sterile conditions.
The housing is made of the acrylic resin MBS (Methacrylate butadiene styrene) which has a limited compatibility with alcohols but is free of phthalates and passes the plastic class VI test. It is glueable, e.g. to tubing, what enables assembly and sterilization by the user. The SFCA membrane is available in many pore sizes and is tightly connected with the housing which allows bidirectional use. This, combined with the very low non-specific binding characteristics, makes it a perfect choice for biomolecule solutions.
