Insta-Gel Plus* is the cocktail of choice for a large variety of applications. It excels in the incorporation of water and aqueous-soluble samples, and is equally useful for organic-soluble samples. Simply combine the sample with Insta-Gel Plus, shake to ensure homogeneity and count.

Our biodegradable, high flash-point liquid scintillation cocktail allows you to determine low levels of 3H in a wide range of water samples without requiring distillation. Ultima Gold™ LLT accepts up to 54% tap water, river water, rain water and even sea water, with 3H counting efficiencies of approximately 30% and with very low background levels. When used with the Tri-Carb® time-resolved low-level liquid scintillation analyzers, backgrounds are reduced even further, resulting in minimum detectable activities of less than 1.1Bq/L-1 (500 minute count time).

· Counts salt solutions and can count suspended solids or powders in the gel phase

· Low diffusion through polyethylene vials

· Flash-point of approximately 50°C

Due to the very high sample holding capacity and its typical gel formation, Insta-Gel Plus is ideal for counting large volumes of water, 14C labeled TLC scrapings and suspended solids.
