The Idylla™ SARS-CoV-2 Test is an automated rRT-PCR test intended for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in nasopharyngeal swab specimens from individuals suspected of COVID-19 by their healthcare provider. Results are obtained using 200 μl of viral transport media (VTM) in as soon as 90 minutes with less than 2 minutes hands-on time.

This test is performed on the Idylla™ platform capable of fully automated nucleic acid testing including extraction, amplification, and detection in a single-use cartridge. For additional performance characteristics of the Idylla™ SARS-CoV-2 Test, please refer to the Instructions for Use.

The Idylla™ SARS-CoV-2 Test uses SuperScript™ III. The SuperScript III trademark is owned by Life Technologies Corporation.
